The following webinar, 1 Million Measurements & 4 Points of View: How the sMap3D Reshaped My Care, was first presented at Global Specialty Lens Symposium (GSLS).
In Part 3 of the recent webinar, 1 Million Measurement & 4 Points of View: How the sMap3D Reshaped My Care, Elise Kramer OD, FSLS at Contact Lens Institute of Nevada shares how the sMap3D revolutionized her practice.
Dr. Kramer’s section discusses:
- Detailed discussion on the Europa & Latitude Scleral designs & the full spectrum of customization options available
- Recent case reports illustrating the success of her data-driven sMap3D lenses
- Scleral Shape Study Group data & how it has changed the way she is fitting her patients
- The ‘WOW’ Factor that comes along with showing patient’s their unique eye shape
Dr. Kramer has been working with Visionary Optics lenses since her time in University. She has worked with the Jupiter, Europa and now the Latitude design quite extensively. Dr. Kramer owns two practices in Florida – Miami Contact Lens Institute & Weston Contact Lens Institute. Both practices have sMap3D instruments integrated into their specialty lens fitting process.
Because both Dr. Kramer and Visionary Optics have the comprehensive data and information on the scleral shape, she is able to avoid more common complications with scleral fitting and offer her patients improved ocular health and comfort. There is a shared, ultimate goal between Visionary Optics and each of their partnering Practitioners to decrease the number of remakes and increase the initial lens success rate. Dr. Kramer confirms that both of those goals are met within her partnership with Visionary Optics and their sMap Consultation Team.
Dr. Kramer also shares how she decides between a Latitude and a Europa lens and how the Visionary Optics team helps her with the decision. Learn more in the video below:
