Visionary Optics participates in the World Sight Day Challenge to support the international fundraising campaign that brings the global optometry community together to help end avoidable blindness and vision impairment.
“As the leader in the scleral lens industry, we are dedicated to helping patients with their vision every day,” said Donald Sanders, M.D., President & CEO of Visionary Optics. “Supporting this organization and their efforts to end avoidable blindness are part of our responsibility and we are proud to partner with Optometry Giving Sight again this year.”
The World Sight Day Challenge is a major fundraising campaign coordinated by Optometry Giving Sight and is designed to raise funds for projects that provide training, establish vision centers, and deliver eye care services for people who are blind or vision impaired due to uncorrected refractive error or provide care for those who may simply need an eye exam and a pair of glasses.
World Sight Day is an annual day of awareness and taking place Oct. 10, 2019. Visionary Optics is joining forces with others around the globe to focus attention on blindness and vision impairment. It is coordinated by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness under the VISION 2020 Global Initiative.
“We are pleased to bring awareness to the life changing work of organizations striving to provide care and services to people in need,” said Monica Sanders, Director of Operations. “Sight can make the difference between a life of scarcity and a life of opportunity. This partnership means a lot to our organization; we love making a difference for others.”
